dwkt007 asked: I read a book in which a character owned her own plantation and the locals picked flowers, it seems stress relieving. Is it possible?
I live in Belgium and I’ve traveled quite a lot but for some reason I’ve really wanted to spend a week or a weekend in Grasse picking the flowers that end up in the perfumes. I was just curious if there was a local owner who allowed you to give it a go

mmg asked: “Carl Linnaeus, the eighteenth-century botanist, even invented a floral clock. Noting that petals open and close at the same time each day (because they’re synchronized to how much light they receive), he arranged flowers in sequence, using the movement of petals to tell time.” –Diane Ackerman.
Does anyone know of any books that can tell me what time of day certain flowers open and/or close?
Does anyone know of any flowers that open at 3:00 in the afternoon? This need not be exactly to the minute!
Thanks in advance.

rhyde126 asked: I am ordering bulk roses to put together for my whole wedding and wedding party. They are being delivered by Costco. I am contemplating when to have them delivered in time for me to figure out how to get them together. My wedding is on Saturday..I’m not a big flower person but I know they need refrigeration (which I have plenty of room for) but exactly how long do they last so they will still look good at my evening wedding?

Tamiami01 asked: I see so many beautiful tulip beds with dozens of tulips in the spring, and then summer comes and I see flowers planted in the same location. How is this possible without digging up the bulbs? Maybe I’m not planting deep enough? Every year I dig up some by mistake..

Mr. Bad Day asked: We bought a house about four months ago, and have spent this summer on inside work, like painting and repairs and such. Next year we’ll be focusing on the outside of our house, and I’d like to get some great perennials to go along with a variety of annuals that I can change from year to year.
So what plants make a good foundation?
